How This Works

Process

1. Request an appointment

Use the contact form to tell me what's going on. I'll follow up by email to confirm a time that works. All work is by appointment — no walk-ins.

2. I’ll inspect the instrument

When you bring the instrument in, we'll discuss what you're noticing and how you play. I'll do a thorough inspection and give you an honest assessment of what's needed and what it'll cost. Once we agree on how to proceed, I will get to work.

3. Pickup & payment

I'll contact you when the work is complete. Payment is due in full at pickup. I accept Cash, Check, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and CashApp. No deposit required.

My Approach

I watch you play.
Then we talk.

Before I touch your instrument, I want to understand what you're trying to accomplish with it. Every setup I do is tailored to your individual playing style — the way you actually play, not a generic spec. I strive for precision and accuracy above all else, so that every player can access their creativity and explore music as freely as possible.

I believe each player has something unique and wonderful to offer the world through the music they create, regardless of skill level or experience.

Services

What I Do

1. Setup & Maintenance

Player-Specific

All Instruments

A full-service setup tailored to how you play. Before I adjust anything, I watch you play and we talk about your goals. Action, intonation, truss rod, nut, and a thorough inspection are all included. The result fits the way you actually play — not a spec sheet.

2. Fretwork

Level Crown Polish

Stainless Steel

Full Refrets

Level, crown, and polish to a complete refret. Stainless steel refrets are available for players who want longer-lasting frets and a slicker feel. A proper fret job is one of the most impactful things you can do for a well-played instrument.

3. Electronic

Pickup Installs

Custom Wiring

Shielding

Components

Pickup installation, custom wiring, bass preamps, acoustic pickups and preamps, shielding, and component replacement — pots, jacks, switches, and related hardware.

4. Structural Repair

Cracks

Neck Resets

Binding

Headstock Breaks

Bridge Re-Glues

Cracks in tops, backs, and sides. Loose or failed braces. Bridge re-glues. Neck resets. Headstock breaks. Binding repair. These repairs are invisible when done right, and obvious when they're not.

5. Customization

Body Routing

Pickguards

Finish Touchup

Custom body routing, pickguard fabrication and replacement, and minor finish repairs and touchups. If you have an idea for your instrument that requires cutting or reshaping, let's talk through it at drop-off.

6. Instruments

Acoustic Guitar

Electric Guitar

Bass

Banjo

Mandolin

Ukulele

If it has frets and strings, bring it in. I work on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele.
